Pain Management-

Pain management is becoming more pronounced in Veterinary medicine as adjuvant therapy for geriatric patients and post-surgical patients. Many of our companions are able to disguise pain. The most frequent signs of pain are unwillingness or being slow to move around, crying out for no apparent reason, and unwillingness to eat. These signs are seen frequently in patients recovering from surgery and companions over the age of 6 years. Listed below are frequently used medical regimes for pain management.

     - post-operative regimes:  It has been documented that patients receiving pain management post-operatively have a higher rate of recovery

     - geriatric regimes:  The geriatric companion receiving pain management helps to slow the onset of debilitating musculoskelatal disease. Following are the treatments we offer our geriatric patients. Please call or e-mail us for current pricing.

As always we at Animal Care Central are striving to offer the highest level of Veterinary care for your companion. If the pain management treatment chosen does not seem to be working as expected or if pain continues after medications run out, alert us immediately. If you have any questions concerning pain management please ask; any of us at Animal Care Central would be happy to discuss it with you.

Pre-Anesthetic:

If your pet needs anesthesia, we recommend blood profiles to reduce the risks and check you pet's health status. The latest technology enables us to perform safe and accurate blood chemistries minutes, before anesthetic induction. These tests are similar to those your physician would run if you were undergoing anesthesia. Test results also serve as future reference values should you pet become ill.
